Wyoming @ UCONN (+29, O/U 54.5)
UCONN is getting outscored by 34 points per game. They lost their coach, the remaining coaches were told they wouldn’t be retained, and they are starting 14 freshman this week. This is a perfect opportunity for Wyoming to show what their new offense can do.
Pick: Wyoming -29
Townson @ San Diego STATE (No Line)
San Diego State should win this FCS matchup. They held on to beat Utah last week. The west is going to come down to San Diego State and Fresno State this year for a birth in the Mountain West championship. The Aztecs get a break before heading into their bye week.
Pick: San Diego State
Florida Atlantic @ Air Force (-4, O/U 54)
ESPN has Florida Atlantic favored to win this game, but Vegas sees it the opposite way. Both teams put up a lot of yards and score a lot of points. Both defenses have some work to do. The only reason Air Force’s defense doesn’t look worse is because they played an FCS team and Navy.
Hawaii @ New Mexico State (+17, O/U 61.5)
I don’t trust Hawaii enough to cover this line. They seem to be a Jekyll and Hyde team this year. They show up some weeks and disappear during others. If they don’t show up this week, they could be looking at a potential upset against a team they have no business losing to.
Pick: New Mexico State +17
New MExico @ UTEP (-1.5, O/U 54)
This line has moved in New Mexico’s favor, which seems odd to me. They haven’t exactly shown they can perform consistently. UTEP, outside of a Boise State buzzsaw, has at least shown some consistentcy. Plus both teams have played New Mexico State and UTEP blew them out, while New Mexico struggled to put them away.
Pick: UTEP -1.5
