Back to reach new heights.
The Air Force Falcons had to go into 2020 without a number of stars, but that couldn’t keep some of them from coming back to our annual list of the Mountain West’s top performers.
Defensive end Jordan Jackson was one of about 40 Academy athletes to take a turnback before the conference decided it would play a fall season after all, so while Air Force missed his presence on the field, he also used his time away wisely. The hope is that a restart will lead to a return to form: Between 2018 and 2019, Jackson racked up 17 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
While he may get a little more attention from offensive linemen the next time he steps on to the field — others from the 2019 Cheez-It Bowl champions like Mosese Fifita and Kyle Johnson have moved on — Jackson could be the tip of the spear that leads the Falcons back to a bowl or possibly more.
Back and ready to get after it.
