New Mexico To Finish Season In Colorado
The season will go on.
Final six games on the road.
The New Mexico Lobos season will continue and finish without playing a single game at The Pit this season.
After not playing its series against San Diego State, New Mexico will be playing its road series this week at Colorado State and the other four will be played at the Air Force Academy to wrap up its season.
This move to Colorado makes it highly unlikely that New Mexico will end its season early. The deal is not 100% offical as Deputy Athletic Director David Williams confirmed there is a verbal agreement, but nothing is official with the Mountain West for the Lobos to finish the season.
This season has been so strange and difficult for New Mexico. They have had “home” games at Dixie State in St. George, Utah, Houston, Texas at Rice University, and upcoming Colorado Sprints at the Air Force Academy.
Those San Diego State games are probably not going to be made up since the Aztecs also are possibly gonig to make up games vs. UNLV the first week of March which is an off week for the Mountain West.
Even if those game are not played, the Lobos look to be on track to finish the season and particpated in the Mountain West tournament.
