The Fresno State Bulldogs’ season came to an end with a 72-62 loss to the Colorado State Rams. The Dogs came out and put up a fight with the Rams, but in the end it wasn’t enough to come away with the victory.
Forward Deon Stroud was leading the way with the Rams’ defense, but foul trouble had Deon sit out for most of the second half. Stroud finished with15 points and 3 rebounds. Second Team All-Conference Forward Orlando Robinson finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Dogs were down three with 5 minutes to go but just ran out of gas and only made one field goal in the last 5 minutes. Fresno State finished the season 12-12.

For the Colorado State Rams this was a must win to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive. The Rams finished the game on a 10-3 run and took their first Mountain West Conference tournament win in four years. First Team All-Conference Forward David Roddy finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Second Team All-Conference Guard Isaiah Stevens finished with 16 points and five rebounds.

The Colorado State Rams will now have a date with the Utah State Aggies in the semifinals. Both teams are on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament and need a win to keep their hopes alive. The semifinal matchup will be on Friday night on CBS Sports Network at 9:00PM/PT.
