The lone late night game.
With changes to the Mountain West football schedule, this Wyoming vs. New Mexico game is the only late-night game. What to watch for in this matchup is if the Lobos can finally get its first win in the Danny Gonzales era but odds are not in their favor.
The Lobos are down multiple quarterbacks as there are injuries to Tevaka Tuioti who has concussion symptoms from a few weeks ago and Trae Hall did not practice this week with bruised ribs. This leaves walk-on redshirt freshman Connor Genal getting the start vs. a pretty good Wyoming defense.
There is some injury news on the Wyoming side with running back Xazavian Valladay is day-to-day with an ankle injury he suffered last week. However, it may not matter if Valladay plays or not as his backup Trey Smith had a career day last week with 164 yards so whoever suits up should be able to get yards against this New Mexico team.
This game could get ugly with the Lobos using such an inexperienced quarterback and points and yards might be tough to come by in this game. However, the experience by Genal could help this Lobos team down the road.
