FS1, FS2, CBS Sports Network
The Mountain West released its television slate for the upcoming football season for 42 games which include one non-conference game and the Mountain West title game which will air on either FS1 or Fox on Saturday, Dec. 19.
The big change is that there are no games on ESPN as the conference kept CBS Sports but added Fox Sports to broadcast games. With going to Fox Sports and maybe this has to do with COVID-19 along with Fox Sports broadcasting games for the Big 12, Big Ten and Pac-12, there are games that will be on FS2.
Distribution is basically a tie with FS2 and CBS Sports Network around 60 million but depending where one looks, the latter might even have about three more million viewers. There is only one guaranteed FS2 games and it is the Oct. 24 opener with New Mexico traveling to Colorado State, but nine others could see that same fate as the current schedule notes FS1 or FS2.
Also, there were a number of games, as expected, were moved to Thursday and Friday nights. The first week of games are all on Saturday, Oct. 24, but after that there is a non-Saturday every single week.
Some kick times will be announced using the six- or 12-day window on the FOX Sports side of this TV schedule.
There will still be more TV games to be announced since Hawaii typically has the majority of its home games on Spectrum PPV, and as of now, they have one home and one road game listed for CBS Sports Network and one on FS1.
San Diego State at BYU on Dec. 12 is not yet determined but it will be on an ESPN channel since the Cougars games are broadcast by ESPN.
Air Force at Army has already been scheduled and it is a 11:30 a.m. ET kick on CBS on Nov. 7.
