Can the Rams get to a winning record?
New Mexico (10/24) – Win
A clash of two teams with new coaching staffs. Steve Addazio leads CSU, while Danny Gonzales heads into his first ever season as a head coach. The Rams have won 10 straight games in this series. The Rams have more talent in this matchup and should walk away with the win.
@ Fresno State (10/31) – Win
Another appearance of the Mountain West coaching carousel this offseason. Kalen DeBoer is a Jeff Tedford protégé, so he is familiar with the Mountain West. Even with a week of a game film, the talent that the Rams have should win here.
That School Up North (11/7) – Win
The Border War. From Addazio’s first press conference, he has made this game a circle on the calendar for the Rams. He realizes how important this game is to the fans. He will have this team up and rocking for the game and that should be enough for the Rams to win.
@ Boise State (11/14) – Loss
Until the Rams prove otherwise, this game will be marked as a loss. There have been moments where the Rams had a chance in this matchup, but then they gave it away. If the Rams want to get back to the top, they’ll have to win this matchup eventually. It just won’t be this season.
UNLV (11/21) – Win
The third appearance of the Mountain West coaching carousel. This game was supposed to be in Vegas in the Raiders’ new stadium. But with the weirdness of 2020, this is now a home game for the Rams. Another case of the Rams talent pulling this win out for them.
@ Air Force (11/28) – Win
Before COVID hit, this would’ve been marked as a loss. The Falcons have had the Rams number the past couple of years. The Rams have the talent to win this game, they just need to show up and prove it. With the defensive opt-outs from the Falcons, the Rams should have enough to win this game.
@ San Diego State (12/5) – Loss
The Aztecs are one of the top teams in this conference, even with Brady Hoke taking over for Rocky Long. They have the defensive talent to shut down anyone. Now it’s just a matter of if they offense can catch up. The Rams might be able to keep this close, but the Aztecs will win this game.
Utah State (12/12) – Win
This game is always tough to predict. These teams seem to bring out the best in each other whenever they play. The Aggies will need to replace Jordan Love and that could be a deciding factor in this matchup. This will go down to the wire, but the Rams should pull it out in the end.
Predicted 2020 CSU Final Record 6-2
Most people would be of the “show me” state of mind for the Rams. The attitude and buy-in that has been shown on social media from the CSU players is enough to show that they could surprise some people this year. Don’t sleep on Colorado State this 2020 season.
