2019 Hawaii Bowl: How To Watch, Livestream BYU vs. Hawaii
An old WAC rivalry game on ESPN
Christmas Eve pigskin
College football being played on Christmas Eve is back where it belongs with the Hawaii Bowl reclaiming its spot the day before Christmas. This year’s game should be a good one with BYU taking on host Hawaii. The two go way back having been conference members between 1979 to 1998.
These two have played some classic games over the years but it usually has been the Cougars getting the best of the Warriors with a 23-8 edge with BYU winning the previous five games of this series dating back to 2002.
This BYU team has had its ups and downs this year. They have wins over USC, Tennessee and Boise State, but also have losses to Toledo and South Florida.
There has been quarterback swapping with both teams but for BYU it is due to injuries as Zach Wilson missed a few games due to needing surgery on his right hand and Jaren Hall and Baylor Romney earned a lot of playing time with the former coming out on top. Wilson will get the start this week and he has a lot to live up to since last bowl game he was a perfect 18 for 18 against Western Michigan in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
For Hawaii, they have been swapping quarterbacks due to play. Both Cole McDonald and Chevan Cordeiro have played well and can make the plays and it seems that it is up to how head coach Nick Rolovich is feeling for who will play in the game.
