Just a few changes this week
There is no longer one team hoarding all of the first-place votes after Boise State’s loss to BYU this past weekend. The Broncos are still at the top but the difference is so much closer with San Diego State getting two-first place votes and are coming in at No. 2.
Utah State despite winning big over Nevada and earning two-first place votes, the Aggies actually dropped below Air Force and are fourth with the Falcons sitting at third and with zero first-place votes. Part of that is because a few voters slotted Utah State fifth and behind Wyoming.
Even with the Broncos upset loss, the changes overall were minimal as five through nine remains the same and the only change at the bottom was Colorado State flipping with UNLV for that 10 and 11 spots. It should be noted that these rankings were done before the Marvin Kinsey news of him being suspended.
The big game of the week in league play is Air Force vs. Utah State with the winner solidifying the No. 3 spot, and maybe make a run at San Diego State for that second spot. Also, a Utah State win over Air Force will allow them to stay undefeated in league play along with Boise State.
In the fan vote, there are five teams that earned first-place votes in Boise State, Utah State, San Diego State, Wyoming, and Air Force.
