Three Keys to a San Diego State Victory
1. Stop the Passing game of Josh Love
San Jose State football has struggled the previous seasons but at the halfway point of the season, they are 3-3. They can thank the great play of Josh Love. This year, he has thrown for 1,832 yards for 10 touchdowns and two interceptions. This senior quarterback has really shined with his passing ability but has also done I great job of leading the Spartans. Love also has one touchdown on the ground. If the Aztecs stop Love and the Passing game it will be good for the Aztecs
Last week, Juwan Washington had a very strong game. It was his second game coming back from injury. He had 23 carries for 84 yards and one rushing touchdown. In the passing game, he had 4 receptions for 28 yards and one receiving touchdown. Washington has the ability to run about 100 or more yards per game when he is 100% healthy, and it has been a long time since the Aztecs have been able to rely on that option with him injured. Wth a healthy Washington, it will be good for the Aztecs.
3. Consistent Agnew
Quarterback Ryan Agnew has been inconsistent this season. He could look really in the first half of a game but in the second half could play like a whole different quarterback. It was evident in last week’s win vs Wyoming. In the first half he was 10-16 for 60 yards but in the second half was 11-16 for 149 Yards and two touchdown passes. If Wyoming is more consistent in the game for Spartans it will mean great news for the Aztecs.
Prediction
If the Aztecs are more consistent on offense and if their defense stops the Spartans passing game, it will end likely in the Aztecs in the win column. Since the Aztecs have more skills and athleticism on their side, I belive the Aztecs will win.
