How does this week look?
The latest power rankings by our staff have the same top two teams this week with Boise State, once again, own all first-place votes and they will be hosting No. 2 Hawaii this weekend.
The two remained the same but after that, there were some changes with teams being on byes like Fresno State and Wyoming, plus different voters treated Utah State’s blowout loss differently.
San Diego State made a big jump going from sixth to fourth and it seems voters are still split on where to place Wyoming as they remain at No. 4. The voting range for the Cowboys was two to seven.
The Aggies dropped just one spot but they earned just a single vote more than the Aztecs in the polls.
As expected the bottom four remained the same and it might be a new bottom five to include Nevada. The Wolf Pack’s blowout loss, 54-3, led to a new starting quarterback with Malik Reed getting the nod. This week’s game against San Jose State will show if Nevada is not a bottom-dweller in this league or are they a middle-level team.
