Week 6 College Football Rankings: Boise State Climbs Into Top 15
Broncos keep moving up.

A few teams are getting votes.
The result of the Boise State vs. UNLV was never in doubt and the win by the Broncos wasn’t a reason they moved up in the polls but they did move up to No. 14 in both polls.
The Broncos — as does every non-power team — have basically zero shot at the playoff so what is left is to get ranked as high as possible and see if they can be a top 10 team.
Boise State is going to move up in the polls going forward with more of how teams above them lose and not always on how the Broncos perform on the field. The Broncos do face Hawaii next week and they are receiving votes in the coaches poll but that will not really move the needle all that much.
As for how high Boise State can be if they go undefeated is probably somewhere around the top 10 and maybe they will crack into single-digits if they go 13-0 and beat whoever they would be playing in the Cotton Bowl.
San Diego State is also getting a pair of points in the coaches poll, so overall there are three Mountain West teams getting national respect.
