Broncos own the top spot

In the latest staff power rankings, there were quite a few changes. One of the most notable was that Boise State took back the first-place vote they did not get last week.

We did avoid an investigation on who voted for the Aggies last week.

Utah State dropped from two to three after its closer than expected win over Colorado State, Hawaii jumped the Aggies after its thrashing of Nevada. The second through eighth spots all changed and now four of the five top spots belong to the Mountain Division.

The West Division could make a move once league play gets going and San Diego State and Fresno State start playing league opponents, plus the Mountain Division will start beating each other up as the weeks go on.

The bottom is pretty set with Colorado State, New Mexico, UNLV and San Jose State bringing up the rear, and barring something out of the ordinary those teams will occupy the bottom third of the power rankings.
