The poll this week is boring
In the latest edition of the Mountain West power poll is sort of boring, really. That is because there was only a single game in Week 0 which saw Hawaii top Arizona in a high-scoring game, 45-38.
Most of these rankings by are staff still have a heavy influence on the preseason projections and then some writers choosing to put a lot of emphasis on not only Hawaii winning but defeating a Power 5 opponent, regardless of how bad the Wildcats might.
Also, expect these to shake up quite a bit during the first few weeks. Just look at the first place votes from this week which has four teams earning consideration.
