2019 Mountain West Football Top 52 Players: #7, San Diego State RB Juwan Washington
The Aztecs’ do-it-all weapon is the highest-rated running back on our annual list of the Mountain West’s best.
A healthy Washington is a difference maker.
San Diego State had a rough go of things on the gridiron in 2018, but there’s little doubt that running back Juwan Washington, who comes in at #7 on our countdown of Mountain West’s top athletes, has the goods to establish himself further in the Aztecs’ legacy of top-flight rushers.
Washington missed four full games because of injury but made his on-field opportunities count, rushing for 999 yards on 199 carries and scoring ten touchdowns while managing a solid 42.7% Success Rate and a 46.2% Opportunity Rate. He also had a solid season as a kick returner, as well, averaging 20.6 yards over 19 attempts.
The Aztecs are in the process of moving to a new-look offense in 2019, but the 5-foot-7, 190-pound Washington should remain as dangerous as ever.
