2019 Mountain West Football Top 52 Players: #18, Boise State WR John Hightower
The Broncos’ big-play receiver vaults into our countdown of Mountain West football’s best.
The man named Hightower could take off.
You can pretty much count on the Boise State Broncos possessing a dynamic passing game year in and year out, and no one might play a bigger role in keeping that ball rolling in 2019 than wide receiver John Hightower, who lands on our annual list of the conference’s best at #18.
Hightower played like a one-man highlight reel throughout the 2018 season: Despite making just four starts and playing in only ten games with 31 catches, he earned 16.8 yards per catch, tied the program’s record for the longest run from scrimmage, and scored eight total touchdowns.
Oh, yeah, and he plays a bit of special teams pretty well, too. Whoever ends up under center for Boise State this fall is going to have an extremely talented downfield threat at his disposal.
