Utah State Football: Savon Scarver Is Mountain West Wire’s Preseason Special Teams Player Of The Year
The Aggies’ star kick returner eked out a win among our staff to be Mountain West football’s best special teams player this fall.
One of the nation’s best quarterbacks.
Our staff has chosen Utah State kick returner Savon Scarver as our preseason selection for Mountain West football’s special teams player of the year.
In a conference suddenly loaded with top-notch specialists, emerging as the number one choice was no easy feat but, after an All-American 2018 season, it’s hard to argue with the result. Scarver had 22 kick returns and averaged 33.7 yards per attempt, a figure which included two touchdowns, and his contributors will be key to Utah State challenging for the division title once more.
