Our staff has chosen Boise State quarterback Hank Bachmeier as our preseason selection for Mountain West football’s freshman of the year. No pressure, kid.
Bachmeier arrived on the blue from Murrietta, California as one of the program’s highest-rated recruits ever, after throwing for over 13,000 yards, with a touchdown-to-interception ratio just over five-to-one, in his high school career. Officially, the race to replace Brett Rypien is still wide open, but we believe that the future and the present of the program are one and the same under center.
