2019 Mountain West Football Top 52 Players: #44, Utah State WR/PR Jordan Nathan
The Utah State punt returner and wide receiver is the first member of the Aggies on our annual list of Mountain West football’s best players.
This Aggie is an all-around threat.
Utah State all-purpose athlete Jordan Nathan is next on our countdown of Mountain West football’s 52 best players this season, coming in at #44 after displaying that he could do it all for one of the best Aggies teams ever.
Nathan’s exploits may have been overshadowed a bit by the all-conference and all-American exploits of his teammates on offense, but he had five receiving plays of 20-plus yards among his 28 receptions, a 68.3% catch rate, and three touchdowns for the conference’s highest-scoring attack. He was also one of just four players with a punt return score last year and finished third among qualified specialists with 8.3 yards per punt return.
Now that Utah State has graduated five of its seven leading pass catchers by targets, Nathan is the team’s leading receiver in that regard. Don’t be shocked if he has one of the conference’s lengthiest highlight reels by season’s end.
