Nevada, Utah State know their opponents.
For the second-straight year, the Mountain West has a pair of teams in the NCAA Tournament with the Nevada Wolf Pack and Utah State Aggies. The Aggies probably would have been safe as an at-large bid but they took care of business in the Mountain West tournament by defeating San Diego State in the title game.
The Wolf Pack were a lock regardless for the NCAA Tournament regardless of what happened in Las Vegas at the Mountain West tournament.
Nevada earned a No. 7 seed and will be playing No. 10 Florida in the West region and will be in Des Moines, Iowa.
Utah State is slotted in the Midwest region with a No. 8 seed and is matched up against No. 9 Washington who won the Pac-12 regular season title before losing in the Pac-12 tournament title game to Oregon. These games are in Columbus, Ohio, with the other half of the bracket featuring No. 1 North Carolina taking on No. 16 Iona.
Here are the resumes for each Mountain West team which helps explain each teams seed.
