After some discussion, we surprisingly all came to the same conclusion that returning former all-conference selection David Moa would move from defensive tackle to defensive end to accommodate rising star Scale Igiehon.  We did not agree on much on our second and third string. Curtis Weaver should carry quite a bit of buzz in 2019 and will likely be an NFL draft pick in 2020.

Like many of the positions, we had similar lineups for the first sting but differentiated on our second and third strings. Kekaula Kaniho has shown all the signs that he may be the breakout defensive star of the 2019 season.

Aside from Avery Williams, we did not agree on much at the cornerback spots but our charts at the safety position looked pretty similar.  A returning healthy DeAndre Pierce along with all-conference star Kekoa Nawahine should give the Broncos the conference’s top combination at the safety position.

While Bronco legacy Gavin Wale did get some love on the first string for both the punting and kicking spot, the returning Joel Velazquez received the majority nod in both positions.

Check back into Mountain West Wire for our upcoming preview for each position group.
