Week 13 College Basketball Rankings: Nevada’s Blowout Win Does Nothing
A big win over the Rams does basically nothing for the Wolf Pack

Nevada is 7th, 8th in both polls.
The Nevada Wolf Pack have been hovering at the tail end of the top 10 after losing to the New Mexico Lobos, and in the latest major polls the Wolf Pack dropped one spot in the AP poll to eighth and remained stagnant at No. 7.
This is not a shock that Nevada is not getting credit, even after blowing out Colorado State last week by a convincing score of 100-60. The Mountain West is not a great league with just three total teams in the top 100 of KenPom. At the other end, there are two sub-300 teams and another sub-200 team.
The only way that Nevada will move up is basically up to teams around them losing. Getting two more solid wins over Fresno State and Utah State which are top-70 teams.
In the big scheme of things, Nevada will probably peak as a three seed in the NCAA Tournament and that is all that really matters and not some ranking by coaches and media members.
