Yup, these are probably going to be so wrong.

Who is the extremely early leader for 2019?
We might as well follow suit and get in on the action of making projections, or guesses really, about what teams will be good in the Mountain West for 2019.
Our staff put together an initial ranking for the conference which takes into consideration players returning, losing, depth chart, recruiting, coaches on the sideline and schedules.
The rankings were all over the place as Fresno State ran away with the first-place vote total earning six of the 10 to Boise State’s three and Utah State’s one.
However, the Broncos and Bulldogs each earned the same amount of total points to tie at first-place. The six teams that made a bowl game were in the top six and bowl-eligible Wyoming came in seventh.
These are not too far off from the end of season rankings which saw the same top seven teams in that same grouping. The bottom of these rankings are teams that have the most to improve upon heading into 2019.
History as shown over the past few years with teams like Fresno State, New Mexico, and Hawaii; there will be a team projected in the bottom half that will have a turnaround season and make a bowl game.
