It really is a jumbled mess.

Throw darts, or something.

As we approach the mid-season point of the Mountain West season with basically every team starting with league play as the next team on the schedule.

What we do know is that it is Nevada and then everyone else in Tier 1, Tier 2 is Fresno State and Utah State, Tier 3 is some combination of Boise State, New Mexico, San Diego, UNLV and Colorado State; and then Tier 4 is San Jose State, Wyoming, and Air Force.

Really after three, it is extremely tough to know what team should be ranked where. Talent-wise San Diego State should be four but they have some odd losses as does New Mexico which is talented but not getting wins.

There were a few changes in the poll this week with Fresno State dropping a spot after losing to Utah Valley University at home with Utah State taking over the second spot this time.

The only other changes were Boise State moving up a spot to seventh and San Jose State dropped to the 10th spot this week.

These rankings go through games played from Dec. 24 – 30.
