Strengths
Many draft writers have praised Wingard for thriving in his role within the Wyoming defense, noting his contributions as a run defender — quick diagnosis and a willingness to fight within the fray — among the list of positives.
Benjamin Solak of The Draft Network argued that this strength extends to play action, as well, writing that Wingard has shown he can “remain at an advantageous leverage [and] doesn’t get beaten by misdirection.”

Weaknesses
Relative to a lot of his peers at the back end of the secondary, one concern that many have highlighted is an overall lack of build that may limit Wingard’s ceiling. Both Solak and Lance Zierlein of NFL.com mentioned, too, that Wingard will have to work to answer questions about his ability to hold up in man coverage.
Draft Prediction
While the ceiling doesn’t seem especially high in the eyes of prognosticators, everyone seems to be in agreement that the overall profile is definitely worth a roster spot, perhaps as a special teams contributor to start. In the end, it seems like Wingard’s football know-how is likely to motivate someone to take a flyer sometime late on Day Three.
