Can Olabisi Johnson breakout of the shadows?
Colorado State could have two players drafted from the same position for the first time since 1996 when it happened twice. DE’s Brady Smith and Sean Moran & DB’s Greg Myers and Ray Jackson were drafted during the 1996 NFL Draft. Olabisi Johnson, whose first name means “to bring prosperity to your family,” is looking to break out of the shadows of Rashard Higgins, Michael Gallup, and Preston Williams.

Strengths
Despite being overshadowed for most of his collegiate career, Johnson had a decently productive four-year career. With working in a pro-style system, he has the ability to run an expanded route tree. Has the high football IQ to play any receiver position. Is willing to go after his defender to run block. Johnson has the ability to be core special teams player as both a gunner and punt returner.

Weaknesses
Johnson could be considered just a guy, he’s a consistent player who doesn’t jump out at you on tape. Has average size and speed, which means defenses won’t have to worry about him blowing by them. Has a tendency to slow down during his routes. Has trouble with athletic press coverage. Johnson also won’t be a threat to be an explosive yard after the catch guy.
Draft Position
Olabisi Johnson is looking for his chance to break out of the shadows of the superstar receivers he has played with during college. Lance Zierlein, of the NFL Network, compares him to Ryan Grant. While Matt Miller, of Bleacher Report, compares him to Ty Montgomery.
Johnson will be a reliable 5th WR and special teams player that is either drafted on the third day or signed as a free agent.
