A run-and-shoot needs strong receivers like Ward.
Hawaii’s offense grabbed a lot of headlines throughout the 2018 season by moving and scoring nearly at will, and while JoJo Ward may not have been the number-one option in the Warriors’ run-and-shoot offense, he still performed well enough to make our countdown, coming in at #31.

After playing for two seasons at Tyler Junior College in Texas, Ward broke out on the islands by catching 51 passes for 865 yards and nine touchdowns. He was one of just 14 FBS receivers with at least three catches of 60 or more yards while his 16.96 yards per catch was 12th among those with at least 50 receptions.
Needless to say, opponents aren’t likely to be caught by surprise a second time, but Ward might be good enough that it doesn’t matter, anyway.
