Postseason all-star game gives another chance to show off skills
This weekend there are seven Mountain West players taking part in the East-West Shrine game and practices have been going on all week. The clear goal for these events are to get noticed and seen by scouts and be coached by NFL coaches, and the game is just an added bonus for the hard work.
Practices at this All-Star game is a great way for players to get sized up against those of similar talent, and for the Mountain West that can be huge. There are plenty of times that teams from this league and other Group of Five conferences don’t get the respect for dominating conference play.
Also, some players might be really good but were overlooked by even better players on their team, this week will allow them to stand out in front NFL coaches who are looking to possibly drafting or signing these players to NFL deals.
