Non-conference play is over and Nevada is 13-0.

The latest USA TODAY coaches and Associated Press top 25 polls are out and they are kind to the Nevada Wolf Pack. The AP poll saw no changes for the 13-0 Wolf Pack as they are still No, 6, and, in fact, there were no changes between No. 1 and 12,. Nevada did gain a single point in the poll.

The coaches poll did boost the Wolf Pack up one spot to No. 5 and are now ahead of Kansas who is sixth and behind No. 4 Michigan. The top four teams all earned a first-place vote in Duke, Virginia, Tennessee and the aforemtioned Wolverines.

Nevada is just one of four teams that are undefeated and now head into Mountain West play with very few chances to impress and move up in the polls. The only way to make that great impression is to win and win big and that is something the Wolf Pack have not done a lot this year. Nevada has mostly struggled in the first half of games and only to come back from trailing or extend a close game.

In league play, the toughests matchups per KenPom is Nevada at Utah State on March 2, and the Wolf Pack are given a 66 percent chance to win that game. There are only two games that have Nevada winning by less than 80 percent: That Utah State game and also the road matchup at Fresno State on Jan. 12 at 71 percent. Nevada is also given an astounding 12.9 percent chance to finish the season undefeated.
