A new week means new bowl projections.

The final games in the college football season are here and things are getting more clear for the Mountain West and here its teams will go bowling. There is no New Year’s Six option since UCF was able to come from behind to be Memphis for that spot.

Hawaii has already accepted a bowl bid to face former WAC foe in Louisiana Tech at the Hawaii Bowl. Fresno State defeated Boise State and very, very likely will be heading to the Las Vegas Bowl.

The other teams that are bowl eligible are Boise State, Nevada, San Diego State, Wyoming, and Utah State. However, things are not looking good for the Cowboys as they are at six wins and there are four more bowl-eligible teams overall than bowl games themselves.

The big surprise is where Boise State will fall in line. It would be a major upset if the Broncos were to play a bowl game at home on the Blue Turf, even though a solid 10-3 Buffalo team could be coming West. The Cheez-It Bowl will fill its obligations with the Pac-12 and Big 12, however the American will not with UCF going to a big-time bowl game.
