The Mountain West title game features two ranked teams.
The final regular season rankings for the College Football playoffs are out and the Mountain West championship game will feature a ranked Boise State and Fresno State team in regards to the poll that matters.
The set of polls this week do not really matter for the Mountain West since what the winner of the title game really needs is UCF to lose to Memphis then that opens up a big spot for Boise State or Fresno State to claim the Group of Five spot for a New Year’s Six game.
The Broncos moved up one spot from 23rd to 22nd despite beating a ranked Utah State team and the Bulldogs enter the polls at No. 25. For fun, UCF moved up one spot to No. 7 after it beat USF in the regular season finale.
