Any surprises this week?
Power ranking the first may seem foolish but we want to track the season as it goes on. These rankings will be posted on Monday’s each week of the season (they will be in the morning in the future) and will go from Monday through Sunday games of the week.
The first week had a few surprises and it started with UNLV dropping a game to Loyola Marymount to start the year and at the other end Utah State is running the ball and pushing the pace as we expected with new head coach Craig Smith. Yes, the competition has not been great but it is good to see the Aggies off to a fast start.
Also, it should be no shock that Nevada is the unanimous pick at the top after its 2-0 week with a win over BYU and Pacific. San Diego State and New Mexico round out the top three spots.
