Wyoming enters the season with a lot of holes to fill from last years team that finished 20-13, 10-8 in MW conference play. The Cowboys have one of the top players in the conference, Justin James, returning and his scoring could skyrocket this season after an impressive 18.9 ppg in his junior year.
The Gauchos finished 2nd in the Big West with a 23-9 record last season. They were picked to finish 4th in the Big West preseason poll this year. UCSB is led by Preseason All-Big West guard Max Heidegger who is the leading scorer and only returning starter from a year ago. The 6’3″ junior led UCSB with 19.1 ppg and set a school record in made threes.
