Yes, this is likely the least excitable game, but that is when a game with low expectations ends up being enjoyable. San Jose State is looking for its first win of the year and line has swung in favor to the Spartans after starting as a UNLV favorite. That has to do with a few things but most likely is that the Rebels are down key players and most specifically quarterback Armani Rogers is still out.
Max Gilliam has played a bit better the past few weeks but he has not been anywhere near playing at the same level as Rogers, and that is why the quarterabck edge goes to the Spartans Josh Love. Also, the San Jose State offense has shown up and played better the past few weeks and that is one way how they are going to get its first win of the year.
The biggest name in this game is UNLV running back Lexington Thomas. If he shows up with what his talents typically produce then the Rebels should easily win but if he struggles then that opens the door for San Jose State to claim its first win. Odds are Thomas has a big game since the Spartans rush defense gives up 4.16 yards per carry which is near the bottom of the conferencce.
While these two teams are not the greatest, they do matchup well which could make this game an interesitng contest.
