MWC Wire Top 25 Countdown: #15 JaQuan Lyle
The No. 15 player in the MWC Wire Top 25 Basketball Countdown is New Mexico junior guard JaQuan Lyle.
Lyle, who will miss the 2018-19 season due to an Achilles injury, is an Ohio State transfer. With the Buckeyes, Lyle averaged 11.2 and 11.4 points per game, respectively, in his underclassmen seasons. In addition to his scoring, Lyle also recorded 67 steals in 66 games with Ohio State while also dishing out 4.4 assists per contests over his two years.
The former five-star recruit out of the state of Indiana was pegged to start at the point guard spot for this year’s Lobo squad. Due to the injury, however, Lyle will aim to be ready for the 2019-20 season.
