best Defensive player
David Woodward, LB, Utah State
The Aggie linebacker is among the league leaders in sacks, tackles for loss and total tackles despite not playing in the Tennessee Tech game, and is the only defender to be in the top 10 in each of those categories. On a per game basis, he is even better by leading the conference in tackles, fourth in sacks and sixth in tackles for loss.
He also gets to the quarterback with multiple hurries, forced fumbles and gets his hands on balls to deflect or knock down passes.
