A big shake-up this week
After the Week 6 results there are some changes in our still way-too-early bowl projections. Boise State’s loss to San Diego State changes the pecking order overall and also hurts the Mountain West’s New Year’s Six chances since the Broncos were the closest to be ranked. A big money bowl game is not out of the picture but it just got a lot harder.
One team that is getting removed is UNLV after its really bad loss to New Mexico. Things could change, maybe, if Max Gillian and the running game get back into the mix. Air Force looked good in its win over Navy but they still need to show more consistency before they enter these projections.
With the Rebels out this means there are six teams going bowling.
