San Jose State is still looking for its first win of the year and playing Hawaii will not be an easy task. The Spartans defense did show up better in the recent loss to Oregon and the secondary is having a solid year, but this Warriors passing attack is nothing that San Jose State has seen all year.
Hawaii quarterback Cole McDonald is averaging four touchdowns a game, is completing two-thirds of his passes and has the highest quarterback rating in the Mountain West.
The Spartans will have plenty of chances to improve off of its six interceptions per game and if they pick of McDonald once or twice it really could swing this game.
Hawaii’s defense will allow points and yards, so this is an opportunity for whoever plays quarterback for the Spartans — Josh Love or Motnell Aaron — to be able to make some plays. However, in saying that, San Jose States passing attack is middle of the pack in the leauge and the rushing game is stastically the worst.
Expect San Jose State to do a few good things against Hawai and score some points to keep this game interesting for just about a half.
