Conference play gets going this week with one matchup featuring Utah State and Air Force, and there are fewer games as we dive into Week 4 of Mountain West play.

Air Force at Utah State (-10.5)

This is the big game of the week and the Aggies being a double-digit favorite seems like a lot at first blush, but then consider that Utah State is averaging 45.5 points per game. The Aggies defense is solid as well. If one is to put any cash on the line this could be a tricky one as Air Force rarely gets blown out.

Nevada at Toledo (-10)

This game features all of the points, or potentially could. Nevada’s offense started to show signs of life in its 37-35 win over Oregon State, but the defense will be tested going against Toledo which has a pretty good offense itself. The Rockets lost to Miami last week 49-24 at home so their defense could be suspect to allowing points.

Illinois State at Colorado State (NL)

This is the game that Colorado State needs. The goal is to just roll against an FCS team and win big while also having a clean performance on both sides of the ball. There is no line on this game due to it being an FBS vs. FCS tilt.

UNLV at Arkansas State (-7.5)

This is going to be one of the more interesting games of the weekend. Arkansas State has been a stalwart in the Sun Belt by either winning or sharing five of the last seven league titles. It is hard to tell how good the Red Wolves are as they were blown out by Alabama, beat Tulsa 27-20 and the other win was against an FCS team. This running attack the Rebels bring to town and what seems to be a better defense than last year has me leaning to taking the Rebels to at least cover.

Eastern Michigan at San Diego State (-10.5)

This is not the same old Eastern Michigan team that used to be just dreadful in the MAC. The Eagles beat Purdue, 20-19, and nearly beat 3-0 Buffalo by falling by just a touchdown. However, San Diego State will be the most difficult team that EMU has played and the running game will be in full force by San Diego State.

Duquesne at Hawaii (NL)

Hawaii looks to bounce back after its first loss of the year against Army by coming home to face Duquense of the FCS. This should be a game that the Warriors win easily and get them one game closer to bowl eligibility.
