Based on what we’ve heard coming out of the Colorado State fall camp, there aren’t that many surprises. The only real big surprise is Barry Wesley getting the starting nod over T.J. Roundtree. Wesley walked on at Colorado State and was surprised this camp with a scholarship from Coach Bobo.

The two deep on the O-line looks to be like it has been for the majority of camp. They will rotate in and out, but the starting lineup seems to be set.

K.J. Carta-Samuels is given the starting nod at QB, with Justce McCoy and Collin Hill both listed as second string back up. Hill is still recovering from a second ACL surgery this off-season but hasn’t been ruled out from playing this season if needed.

Izzy Matthews is the starting running back. He’s a leader on this team and should be the one to shoulder the load this season in the backfield. Others will be given carries, as is Bobo’s custom, but Matthews will lead the way. One interesting not at running back is that Rashaad Boddie is not on the two-deep, the other back is sophomore Marcus McElroy.

No surprise in the receivers with Olabisi Johnson, Preston Williams, and Warren Jackson being the top options for the Rams. Those three have been on top since spring camp and nothing has changed. Others have put their name on the board such as freshman Nikko Hall and rising junior Brenden Fulton, but Johnson, Williams and Jackson will be the primary receivers along with tight end Cameron Butler.
