Weaver is a nightmare for unprepared offenses.
If you thought this year’s list of the Mountain West’s 50 best players was done with the Boise State defense, you’d be wrong. Today, we turn to Curtis Weaver, the Broncos’ ace pass rusher, who checks in at #19.
Weaver broke out in a big way as a redshirt freshman, earning a spot on the first-team all-Mountain West defense after leading the Mountain West with 11 sacks, one of just six Group of 5 players to crack double digits, and totaling 13 tackles for loss.
Though Boise State is reloading on other parts of its defense, quarterbacks and tackles across the Mountain division will need to be wary of Weaver. He’s just getting started.
