Nevada To Headline Jerry Colangelo Classic, Will Play Grand Canyon
Nevada will face Grand Canyon in a mid-major showcase in Phoenix

Nevada will take on Grand Canyon in the Jerry Colangelo Classic on December 9 at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, per Jon Rothstein.

Nov. 6: vs. BYU
Nov. 9: vs. Pacific
Nov. 16: vs. Arkansas-Little Rock
Nov. 19: vs. Cal Baptist
Nov. 22: *vs. Tulsa (Las Vegas)
Nov. 23: *vs. UMass/Southern Illinois (Las Vegas)
Nov. 27: at Loyola Chicago
Dec. 7: *vs. Arizona State (Los Angeles)
Dec. 9: *vs. Grand Canyon (Phoenix)
Dec. 15: vs. South Dakota State
Grand Canyon is coming off a 22-win season in 2018, finishing third in the Western Athletic Conference. Led by coach Dan Majerle, the Antelopes have risen towards the top of the mid-major powers but is still looking for its first NCAA Tournament bid in school history.
Nevada’s matchup with GCU will come just 48 hours after playing Arizona State at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in the Hall of Fame Classic. The two teams played last year in the preseason, an 81-72 Wolf Pack victory in Reno.
In addition to the Nevada-Grand Canyon game, fans will also see Gonzaga take on Tennessee in the Jerry Colangelo Classic.
Nevada still has three more non-conference games to fill after this latest addition to the schedule.
