Why Nevada Will Win
The Wolf Pack will win because they would have continued their hot shooting in the second half and overtime when they came from behind to defeat Texas on Friday. Nevada will win by pushing the ball and being aggressive without turning the ball over and breaking thru against a tough Bearcats defense.
Also, the Wolf Pack will win by attacking the Wolf Pack on the glass. Cincinnati is one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the country so if the Bearcats miss a shot, the Wolf Pack will need to gang rebound and limit Cincy’s second chance opportunities.
If the Wolf Pack follow that game plan, then they will advance to the round of sixteen.
Why CINCINNATI Will Win
The Bearcats will win by forcing the Wolf Pack to play their slow, grind it out game and putting the clamps on defense when defending Nevada’s shooters especially Kendall Stephens.
The Bearcats would like to slow the pace of the game and keep the scoring in the 50s and crash the glass and score on putbacks to overcome their mediocre offense (the Bearcats as a team shoot only 45 percent from the field this season) and score just enough to defeat the Wolf Pack.
Score Prediction
Nevada 68, Cincinnati 65
