UNLV Looks Towards 2018 With Schedule Release

UNLV Looks To Make First Bowl Game In Sanchez’s Fourth Year

The Rebels schedule has been released, and it starts with a doozy.  They’ll travel to Los Angeles to take on The USC Trojans September first, in what will be only the teams’ second trip to the coliseum. After that, the team will head home for a back to back against UTEP (Sept. 8th) and Prairie View A&M (Sept. 15th), before ending their out of conference schedule at Arkansas State on September 22nd.

The following week the team will begin conference play against New Mexico, who they beat last year 38-35, and will end the season once again against UNR on November 24th where they will attempt to get redemption for last years loss.

While the season definitely starts with a tough match up, the rest of the Rebels out of conference schedule is winnable. As for their in conference schedule, it’s essentially the same as last years schedule with a couple differences. With that said, the Rebels were 4-4 against the Mountain West, and must improve in this area if they want to finally reach a bowl game.

If UNLV can take the next step under coach Tony Sanchez in year four, 2018 should be an interesting year.
