Larry Nance Jr. Wears T-Shirt To Honor Dad Who Won 1984 Dunk Contest
Nance is ready to go for the dunk contest.
Nance Jr. did a good job honoring his father.
Former Wyoming Cowboys Larry Nance Jr. is in the dunk contest later this month and on Friday he honored his father, Larry, Sr., who won the 1984 dunk contest, the first ever in the NBA.
Nance has been preparing for this moment his entire life, and he will be ready with ideas in hand.
“It’s pretty cool to have a former champion on my side,” Nance said to reporters. “Not bad advice from that guy right there. The ideas have been brewing since I got in the league. I wanted to do it the first year, couldn’t, second year, couldn’t, so I’ve been sitting on some in my back pocket for a while now. I’m excited everyone gets to see them.”
Nance told Spectrum SportsNet that has four dunks already lined up and has been practicing them.
One of the coolest things Nance did was to send out this Instagram post about the dunk contest.
