Why UNLV Will Win

UNLV will look to rebound from a tough home loss to New Mexico. UNLV has been winless at home and has won all of their games on the road during conference play. They will look to continue that streak in Fort Collins. UNLV is shooting above 50% for the year and Colorado State has a tendency to let teams get hot. The Rams are also going to be without leading scorer Prentiss Nixon. The Rams seem lost without him. If the Rebels can get the Rams to collapse on the inside drive and get hot from the outside, they could continue their road winning streak in conference play.

Why Colorado State Will Win

Similar UNLV, Colorado State is winless at home and has a winning record on the road. Colorado State likes to play a physical game. UNLV likes to play inside on offense. This could be a good match up for the Rams. The Rams will have to deal with the loss of leading scorer Prentiss Nixon. Nixon is out a couple weeks with an ankle sprain. If the Rams can overcome the loss of Nixon, the Rams could win a close one. The Rams will have to play inside out. When the Rams play inside out, the perform well. When they dribble the ball around the perimeter and chuck up bad shots, the Rams struggle. Play physically and get the ball inside and the Rams can compete in this game.
