A Mountain West vs. Conference USA foe

Utah State wrapped up the season at 10-2, one of its best ever, and is heading to a familiar location by playing in the New Mexico Bowl where they will face a 9-3 North Texas team out of Conference USA.

This is not quite the matchup that the Aggies would like but the Mean Green are a solid team. They have nine wins with one of those being a blowout over Arkansas, ended the season winning three of four games and finished second in its division.

This will be a good test for this Aggie defense since North Texas has an above average offense which is 36th in S&P+ offensively and overall are rated at 39th overall.

The leaders of this team start with quarterback Mason Fine who completed 65 percent of his passes, 27 touchdowns to five interceptions and 3,374 yards on the year. On the end of catching most of those passes is Rico Bussey Jr. who caught 68 passes for 1,017 yards and 12 touchdowns. DeAndre Torrey leads the team on the ground game with 14 touchdowns on 942 yards.

On defense, the Mean Green its scoring defense is top 30 in points per game, top, 35 in yards per play allowed and plus eight on the year in turnover margin. This will be one of the tougher matchup the Aggies have faced all year.
