Plays the changed the game
Fresno State and Boise State played to an epic Mountain West title game that featured snow, special teams miscues, huge running gains, missed tackles, clutch plays and for good measure, we will mention snow again.
First off, if you missesd our game recap, go check that out now.
In a game that was just 19-16 there were so many key plays that turned the tide for both teams.
The biggest play was not the game winning score by Fresno State, but rather a misssed extra point by Boise State’s Haden Hoggarth which was blocke by Matt Boateng. The Bulldogs were up in Hoggarth’s face all night but had he made this kick the game would not have gone to overtime and Boise State would be hoisting the trophy.

The play to set up that Boise State touchdown came on an Alexander Mattison 34-yard touchdown run and Bulldog fans were probably having some serious deja vu with this score. This was a man’s play and just amazing.

Of course, the game-winning play on 3rd-and-goal at the 1-yard line in overtime which saw Marcus McMaryion pitch it to Ronnie Rivers makes the cut as one of the best plays.
