Broncos are favored to repeat

The Mountain West title game is set with a rematch between Boise State and Fresno State. The oddsmakers at Vegas Insider have set the line and it should come as no shock that the Broncos are an early favorite.

The line opened at a slim 1.5-point in favor of the Broncos but that quickly moved to Boise State as s 2.5-point favorite. The over/under is 51.

This line should not come as a surprise since Boise State is riding a seven-game winning streak and during that time it includes a win over these same Fresno State Bulldogs back on Nov. 10 and also beating a ranked Utah State team to clinch the Mountain Division title.

This is the fourth time that these two teams have played in which the home team has won each time and the Broncos own a 2-1 edge with one of those games being in the 2017 Mountain West title game.

Other outlets and advanced stats have their own projections on this game.

numberFire and TeamRankings.com predict a close game with the former predicting the Bulldogs to pull off the upset.

S&P+ stat profiles have Fresno State as a 4.2-point favorite which seems like a lot since Boise State won the prior matchup and the Bulldogs struggled a bit against a one-win San Jose State week in the season finale.
