Why Nevada Will Win
Arguably the most important non-conference game all season for the Mountain West, a ranked Nevada team squares off with #20 TCU at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Wolf Pack enters the matchup having seen its undefeated start to the season end in heartbreaking fashion, leading Texas Tech for almost the entirety of regulation before watching the potential quality victory slip away in overtime. Nevada gets the opportunity to quickly bounce back against one of the Big XII’s strongest teams in TCU. The Horned Frogs, still undefeated, have one of the nation’s top offenses, ranking in the top 20 nationally in adjusted efficiency, effective field goal percentage, three-point percentage, and two-point percentage. Both teams will push the pace and the winner could end up scoring more than 90 points. A win Friday night would do wonders for Nevada’s at-large hopes.
